The semicircular medieval cape is a classic part of Viking or general medieval, renaissance or fantasy costumes. It is wide enough to keep you warm and has a generous hood.
You can use it as a great addition to your wedding dress as well.
Depending on the material and maybe some trim, the medieval cape will look anything from plain and practical to regal.

The medieval cape is cut from one piece of fabric. It has a hood and two ties for closing. If you want an additional bit of color and of course more protection against evil weather you can choose a cloak with lining. You can have different colors for cloak and lining. Please put your colors of choice in the note to seller during checkout or write me a message after checkout.
As the cloak is cut from one piece of fabric without seams you can have a maximum length of 140cm (55 inches).
FABRIC
The medieval cape is made from your fabric of choice. Please choose from the menu:
100% cotton: sturdy cotton. Easy to care for and it comes in many colors. Suitable for summer and light rain
fleece (100% polyester): inexpensive and easy to care for fabric. Suitable for autumn or spring and medium rain (shown on pics 3-5)
woolmix (78% polyester, 22% wool): a cozy, very weatherproof fabric with a nice even surface. Available in choice colors
wool (100% wool): quite waterproof fabric which works for winter and foul weather. Comes in many colors.
loden (100% wool): highly waterproof wool fabric. Only available in dark colors like green, black, gray and sometimes bordeaux and navy. (Shown on pic 1+2)
LINING:
A lining is optional for the medieval cape but it does add a splash of color and adds to protection against rain and wind.
satin (100% polyester): a shiny, sleek fabric. It comes in many colors.
linen (100% linen): the period choice for the lining. Linen is great in warm summer weather. Wool and Loden lined with linen will be very heavy.
